Lights
18:49These stars within us, so dazzlingly bright
We are these cities, cut off from the skies, ironically by our very own light
When was the last time you pointed out the positions of our constellations, so delicately mapped out in the night sky?
When was the last time we seeked to understand the scope of our universe and all of existence, or to actually think farther than a mere few decades? did you ever try?
When did you start to turn your head downwards? Was it the city, society, the herd that did this to you?
When did you stop pondering on what was unknowable? Was it when you decided to submit to fate, that we are a negligible part of a potentially meaningless, endless race?
To where?
How depressing we have forgotten the questions, and consequently lost the ability to seek for answers.
How funny, wrapped in our own miniscule bubbles. we say we are freedom, we are the future, when most us are simply blinded by our own radiance.
Look now, who are the ones who can actually see farther? The bright lights of the city, or the muted ones living in the dark?
